Renowned for its expertise in heavy civil construction, our Civil East sector specializes in building essential infrastructure that powers economies and enhances communities.<br><br>In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities.<br><br>We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Storekeeper. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Storekeeper is responsible for the receiving, storing, tracking, and distribution of tools and equipment to ensure they are properly maintained and readily available. This role will be based in Barbados and is a site position where the Storekeeper will be working mainly in an outdoor environment.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Do Here<br><br></strong><ul><li> Receive, inspect, and accurately record the quantity, location, and type of tools and parts. </li><li> Process requisitions and distribute tools and equipment to internal users, maintaining accurate records of who has what. </li><li> Inspect and ensure tools are properly maintained. </li><li> Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory levels. </li><li> Adhere to safety protocols and regulations related to tool handling and storage. </li><li> Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including deliveries, returns, and adjustments. <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Bring To The Team<br><br></strong><ul><li> Post Secondary Certificate in Office Administration or a related field would be an asset </li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li> Strong customer service and interpersonal skills </li><li> Highly organized and able to work under pressure </li><li> Flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment </li><li> Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) <br><br><br></li></ul>Aecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
