This role is critical in delivering high-performance eCommerce experiences, supporting subscription models, and enabling rapid experimentation across marketing, merchandising, and IT.</p> <p><br></p> <p>You’ll work across front-end development, back-end integrations, and performance optimization within a complex, enterprise-level Shopify ecosystem.</p> <p><br></p> <p>As an organization, we are new to Shopify and recently launched the platform for Swanson Health Products, making this an exciting opportunity to help shape and evolve our eCommerce foundation from the ground up.</p> <p><br></p> <p><span><span>What You'll Do:</span></span><span><br></span></p> <p><span><span>Shopify Development &amp; Customization</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript</li> <li>Build reusable components to support high-SKU catalog navigation and merchandising</li> <li>Customize Shopify Plus features, including checkout extensibility, scripts, and functions</li> </ul> <p><span><span>Integrations &amp; Systems Architecture</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Integrate Shopify with key business systems, including: <ul> <li>ERP (Mozart), CMS, and subscription platforms (e.g., Ordergroove)</li> <li>Search and personalization tools (e.g., Constructor)</li> <li>Marketing platforms (e.g., Cordial, reviews, loyalty programs)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Work with APIs to ensure seamless data flow across systems</li> </ul> <p><span><span>Performance &amp; Optimization</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Optimize site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall conversion performance</li> <li>Implement A/B testing and personalization strategies</li> <li>Improve checkout performance and mobile user experience</li> </ul> <p><span><span>Subscription &amp; Customer Experience</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Enhance subscription journeys and customer account management experiences</li> <li>Support personalized product recommendations and promotional strategies</li> <li>Build scalable features that drive retention and conversion growth</li> </ul> <p><span><span>Maintenance &amp; Troubleshooting</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner</li> <li>Ensure site uptime, reliability, and scalability</li> <li>Continuously improve site architecture, performance, and code quality</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span><span>Required Qualifications:</span></span></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience working with Shopify or Shopify Plus</li> <li>Strong proficiency in: <ul> <li>Liquid, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3</li> </ul> </li> <li>Hands-on experience with: <ul> <li>Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app integrations</li> <li>Version control systems (e.g., GitHub)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Solid understanding of eCommerce fundamentals, including: <ul> <li>Checkout flows, subscriptions, merchandising, and SEO</li> </ul> </li> <li>Experience integrating third-party services and APIs</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p> <ul> <li>Experience with subscription-based commerce platforms (e.g., Ordergroove or similar)</li> <li>Familiarity with headless commerce architectures, including Shopify Hydrogen</li> <li>Experience with personalization and search platforms (e.g., Constructor)</li> <li>Knowledge of analytics and experimentation tools, including GA4, Amplitude, and A/B testing platforms</li> <li>Exposure to enterprise-level eCommerce environments, including large product catalogs and global scale operations</li> </ul> <p><strong>To apply:</strong> <a href="https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/swanson-health-shopify-developer">https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/swanson-health-shopify-developer</a></p>
