S<strong>AMSUNG SDS Smart Logistics</strong> operates in 40 countries worldwide and employs more than 4,500 logistics experts.</p> <p>At our Eschborn location, we are looking for System Administrator to support our warehouse!</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Administration of Linux and MS Windows based servers &#x26; services</li> <li>Installation and setup of web applications and database servers</li> <li>Setting up customer applications</li> <li>1st, 2nd &#x26; 3rd level support for customer servers, web applications, databases</li> <li>Monitoring, analysis and reporting of performance and volume of the server infrastructure</li> <li>Experience with web stack technologies (HTTP, web servers, reverse proxy, load balancing)</li> <li>Strong understanding of OS-level security (Linux/Windows)</li> <li>Setup and administration of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases</li> <li>Build, Manage, and optimize containerized environment using Docker</li> <li>Automate configuration management, deployment, and orchestration using Ansible</li> <li>Ensuring the integrity and security of systems and applications through the strict technical implementation of internal security guidelines</li> <li>Regular reporting according to the respective escalation level based on the problem management metric</li> <li>Execute backup operations, including monitoring, failure resolution, and periodic restore testing and validation</li> <li>Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures</li> <li>Perform OS patching, firmware updates, and system upgrades as per schedules</li> <li>Ensure timely service restoration and effective communication during incidents</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Successfully completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification</li> <li>Several years of professional experience as a system administrator (7-10 years)</li> <li>Ability to work in an international, multicultural company</li> <li>Good experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud or OCI -</li> <li>Very good knowledge of at least one of the following operating systems: RHEL, MS Windows Server, Docker and Ansible</li> <li>Solid administration knowledge in at least one of the following: MSSQL, MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle DB</li> <li>Good knowledge of VMware vSphere and shared storage</li> <li>Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, AD and Remote Services and SSH</li> <li>Experience in automation and scripting</li> <li>Efficient troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Good understanding of network fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, DNS, firewall)</li> <li>Good language skills in English (spoken and written), German desirable.</li> <li>Ability to work in a team and structured work complete your profile</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Authorization:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A valid work authorization for Germany is required for this position.
