Team Lead - Platform Engineering

<h4><span style="color:#121317">About the role:</span></h4><p><br><span style="color:#222222">We are looking for a new team lead for one of the teams within our Infra Platform Group. Your mission in this role is to architect and deliver foundational services that empower the product engineering teams building our e-commerce platform.<br></span></p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#222222">Together with your team, you will be tackling challenging engineering problems, working on high-performing and scalable services written in Haskell and Rust, while also providing a high-quality developer experience for the teams that use them via Python.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#222222"><br>Your time will be split approximately 50-50 between leadership tasks and hands-on development. In your leadership role, </span><span style="color:#000000">you are a mentor to your team members, unblocking them when they face challenging roadblocks, and you help them grow both their hard and soft skills. It is easy for you to break down big issues into smaller tasks and to prioritize work pragmatically.</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000">To set you up for success in this role, we think you'll benefit from having the following skills and experience:</span></p><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">You have previous experience leading an engineering team, or you are an experienced engineer, excited to start your career as a leader.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">You can give detailed code reviews both from a high-level and a low-level perspective.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">You have the technical depth to help your team members grow and can remove roadblocks for them.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#121317">You have substantial backend development experience, you are experienced with functional programming concepts, and are comfortable working with either Haskell, Scala, or Rust.
