Our platform handles everything from inbound and outbound call campaigns to appointment scheduling, lead qualification, and CRM integration — all powered by human-like conversational AI.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're looking for a <strong>Tech Lead</strong> to join our small but high-impact engineering team on-site in New York City. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction, leading engineers, and driving the architecture and delivery of our core AI/ML platform. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be writing code and making architectural decisions while mentoring the team around you.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own and evolve the architecture of our conversational AI and voice technology systems, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive hands-on development across AI/ML pipelines, NLP/LLM integrations, telephony infrastructure, and cloud deployments.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and go-to-market teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Advocate clearly for technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, including founders and customers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Establish and improve engineering processes, standards, and best practices as the team scales.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs, CRM connectors, and telephony systems into the core platform.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring engineers and driving engineering strategy.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong background designing and building AI/ML systems at scale, ideally in cloud-based SaaS or startup environments.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with conversational AI, voice technology, and NLP/LLM applications (e.g. speech-to-text, text-to-speech, dialogue management, LLM orchestration).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying ML models in production.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills — comfortable translating technical complexity for non-technical audiences.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Must have the right to work in the United States; <strong>no visa sponsorship is available</strong>.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with telephony systems, call routing, or VoIP infrastructure.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with CRM integrations (e.g. HubSpot or similar platforms).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prior experience at a conversational AI, contact center AI, or voice technology company.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort operating in a small, fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and ambiguity.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> $220,000 – $250,000 per year</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Equity participation in a well-funded, early-stage company</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Opportunity to be a foundational technical leader at a high-growth AI startup</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is <strong>on-site in New York City, NY</strong>.
