Technical Product Owner – C++ SDK & ImFusion Suite

<br><strong>Your mission</strong><p><p>We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to take ownership of our C++ SDK, which forms the core of our software platform and serves as the foundation for the majority of our engineering work, products, and customer projects.</p><p>You will shape the product direction, roadmap, priorities, and release process while working closely with software engineers, our Lead Architect, product teams, and business stakeholders.</p><p>The role is designed to grow into functional and people leadership responsibility for engineers working on the C++ SDK and ImFusion Suite.</p><br><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18px;">Your responsibilities</span><ul><li><p>Own and continuously develop product vision, roadmap, backlog, and prioritization for our C++ SDK &amp; ImFusion Suite</p></li><li><p>Align C++ SDK and ImFusion Suite roadmap with our wider company and platform strategy </p></li><li><p>Bring together requirements from customers, internal users, product teams, engineering, and management and translate them into clear priorities.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate development activities and releases across teams and components, ensuring that individual efforts contribute to a coherent product.</p></li><li><p>Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, capacity, and technical trade-offs.</p></li><li><p>Balance short-term delivery needs with technical quality and the long-term development of the product.</p></li><li><p>Drive resource planning, support team growth, and gradually take on functional and people leadership.</p></li></ul><br><span style="font-size:18px;">Who you are</span><ul><li><p>You are a systems thinker who can understand a complex technical ecosystem, connect the individual pieces, and maintain sight of the bigger picture.</p></li><li><p>You combine genuine technical curiosity with a strong product mindset and a desire to create impact beyond implementation.</p></li><li><p>You bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations without oversimplifying technical complexity.</p></li><li><p>You listen to different perspectives but are comfortable challenging assumptions, setting boundaries, and saying no when necessary—regardless of seniority or role.</p></li><li><p>You communicate confidently with engineers, scientists, product teams, customers, and management and build trust across these groups.</p></li><li><p>You take ownership, follow through, and proactively address risks and obstacles.</p></li><li><p>You lead through trust, constructive feedback, sound judgement, and a genuine interest in helping others grow.</p></li></ul></p><br><strong>Your profile</strong><p><ul><li><p>Several years of experience as a software engineer, giving you a solid understanding of programming and software development.</p></li><li><p>Subsequent experience owning or coordinating a technically complex software product, platform, or large-scale engineering initiative.</p></li><li><p>Experience developing roadmaps, managing requirements, setting priorities, and coordinating delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Experience coordinating, mentoring, or enabling software engineers; previous formal leadership experience is a plus. </p></li><li><p>A strong understanding of APIs, software architecture, testing, technical debt, maintainability, versioning, and backwards compatibility.</p></li><li><p>Experience with capacity and resource planning, including translating roadmap needs into staffing or hiring requirements.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience adapting SDK requirements, architecture, and product roadmaps to advances in AI.</p></li></ul><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:18px;">Nice to have</span><ul><li><p>Experience with C++ development or ownership of a C++-based product or platform.</p></li><li><p>Experience with developer-facing products or SDKs.</p></li><li><p>A background in medical imaging, computer vision, or another technically complex software domain.</p></li><li><p>Ideally, you are based in Munich or the surrounding area and enjoy working regularly from our Munich office, allowing you to connect with key stakeholders in person.</p></li></ul></p><br><strong>Why us?</strong><p><ul><li><p>Shape foundational technologies used across our products and customer projects.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with experienced engineers, architects, and product teams.</p></li><li><p>Take on significant ownership and grow into functional and people leadership.</p></li><li><p>Work on challenging software at the intersection of medical imaging, computer vision, and AI.</p></li><li><p>Benefit from flexible working arrangements and a collaborative environment.</p></li></ul><p><strong>The stated salary range includes a discretionary, performance-based bonus.</strong></p></p><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
