Founded in 2021 as part of Montu, our goal is to help Australians access alternative care with ease via telehealth consultations with experienced nurses and doctors.</p><p><strong>This role is a Tasmanian-based, fully work-from-home position.</strong></p><h2>Job Description</h2><p>Our doctors blend evidence-based practice with innovative approaches to support thousands of patients across Australia. We are seeking experienced AHPRA-registered doctors to join our telehealth team as independent contractors.</p><p>This is a fully remote, <strong>Tasmanian-based role</strong>, ideally suited to doctors who can commit to around<strong> 10 hours per week</strong>, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your existing commitments.</p><p>Our patient cohort is diverse, and this role requires doctors who are comfortable consulting across a broad range of presentations and age groups.</p><p><strong>The role:</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver high-quality telehealth consultations across a diverse patient base, including patients under 25</li><li>Manage clinical assessments, prescriptions (S4 &amp; S8), and follow-up consults </li><li>Work closely with nurses and doctor support teams to streamline care</li><li>Maintain complete documentation and compliance in a digital-first environment</li><li>Embrace digital tools to optimise patient outcomes and service efficiency</li><li>Have a commitment to our patients and their ongoing care</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>We’re looking for reliable doctors who excel in fast-paced, digital-first settings and are motivated to make a meaningful impact in an evolving clinical landscape. The consult rate is $60 per consult, with an expected 4 to 6 consults each hour, and additional incentives available for increased availability.</p><p>You bring:</p><ul><li>MBBS or equivalent and an unrestricted AHPRA registration (Minimum PGY4)</li><li>Excellent time management with the ability to confidently manage 10 minute consults (4-6 patients/hour)</li><li>Familiarity with privacy laws, RTPM, S8 regulation, and medico-legal obligations</li><li>Strong clinical judgement, with an evidence-based and harm-reduction mindset</li><li>Strong documentation/admin skills</li><li>Experience working with multiple digital platforms and navigating tech efficiently</li><li>Punctual, reliable and responsive qualities – you value team collaboration and patient continuity</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>By joining Alternaleaf, you become part of a driven and supportive team committed to helping you thrive.
