The position plays a strategic role in advancing gender equality and youth empowerment throughout the United Nations system in India. <h2>Why This Role Matters</h2> India hosts one of the largest United Nations presences globally, with 27 UN entities working across various development sectors. The selected officer will support coordination among these agencies and help ensure that gender equality and youth development remain central to UN programmes, policies, partnerships, advocacy efforts, and reporting mechanisms. The role contributes directly to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework agreed between the Government of India and the United Nations. <h2>Key Responsibilities</h2> <h3>1. Support UN Coordination and Programme Implementation</h3> The officer will support effective coordination of UN activities under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
