UNESCO/Japan Young Researchers’ Fellowships Programme 2026: Up to US$10,000 for Research in Japan

<p class="isSelectedEnd">Applications are now open for the <strong>UNESCO/Japan Young Researchers’ Fellowships Programme 2026</strong>, also known as the <strong>UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi Research Fellowships Programme</strong>. The programme offers young researchers from eligible countries the opportunity to undertake postgraduate research at universities and research institutions in <strong>Japan</strong>, with fellowship funding of <strong>up to US$10,000</strong>.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">For the 2026 cycle, <strong>10 fellowships</strong> will be awarded to highly qualified young researchers, with priority given to applicants from <strong>Africa, Small Island Developing States (SIDS), Ukraine and Türkiye</strong>.
