VC Analyst - Internship

<p style="min-height:1.5em">Today, successful software companies have two ways to support and finance their growth: the VC path, and the self-financed profitable path. For software companies that can’t or do not want to bootstrap, but haven’t managed to stay permanently on hyper-growth, the VC path is a dead-end.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">At Hexa Scale, we’re on a mission to solve this: offer a new alternative to fund and scale software companies towards exponential growth.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We believe that there are great software companies, still early stages in the 1-10m€ ARR range, that sit on amazing markets with a great product, but that require a few changes to unlock their potential.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We believe that by providing them with capital and strong operational leverage, we can put them on the right trajectory, towards category-leading exponential growth. Our <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.hexa.com/blog/article/were-launching-hexa-scale-to-transform-linear-growth-companies-into-market-leaders">full manifesto</a>.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Your role is to help us find, select and invest in those companies.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Mission</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">Within Hexa Scale’s team (Thibault, Augustin &amp; Samuel), you’ll participate in the deal-flow cycle to make 2/3 successful deals a year.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Outcomes</h2><h3>Deal-flow: guarantee volume and reactivity</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform the first analysis of Inbound leads, and therefore guarantee a &lt;48h contact to the entrepreneurs.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Identify new companies that fit our investment scope each week for reach out and ensure a strong volume generation at the top of our investment funnel, target: 30 identified companies</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help us to enhance our outbound tooling set-up (database, automations, scraping)</p></li></ul><h3>Research: help perform cutting edge market deep-dives</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform research on sectors that we decide to deep-dive: mapping of actors, mapping of products and features, understanding of competitive landscape, understanding of funding status and exit potential, understanding of value-creation for customers and GTM structures.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Participate in qualitative research with market experts: Identify, reach-out and organise calls with market experts that we may not have directly in our network, at scale. Example: generate 10+ interviews with key buyer persona on a researched market.</p></li></ul><h3>Company analysis: help elaborate clear pictures of our targets</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Understand and analyse the business model, product, team, growth engine, and overall business plan of our targets.
