Visiting Analyst (F/M/D) - Summer 2027

<p>xdeck is a Cologne-based VC fund investing in early-stage B2B tech startups. In addition to regular VC investments, we organize our equity- and cost-free acceleration program (duration: 3-4 months, 2x per year) to make aspiring startups investment-ready. Over the past years we've worked with 120+ startups, including Plancraft, LawX, Sunhat, and invest alongside co-investors like Creandum, Headline, and HV Capital.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p>As Visiting Analyst, you own the top of our funnel: You decide which European founder teams we should meet, reach out directly, and convince the best to join xdeck for our accelerator or fund. Additionally, we will involve you in our investment due diligence processes for those startups that you source. Your assessment feeds directly into our investment decisions. The role blends analytical depth with a sales instinct; you'll thrive if both energize you.</p> <p>Internship duration:</p> <ul> <li>5-6 months, ideally starting in April 2027 (fixed core time: May 2027 - August 2027)</li> </ul> <p>What you'll gain:</p> <ul> <li>You find the founders.</li> <li>You run the calls.</li> <li>You build and defend convictions in our investment team.</li> <li>Ideally, you'll see your deal go from initial sourcing to term sheet signing.</li> </ul> <p>Your role:</p> <ul> <li>Scouting: Find top founder teams and convince them to join xdeck.</li> <li>Coordination: Run sessions and connect startups with partners like Cherry Ventures and McKinsey.</li> <li>Support: Organize events, manage marketing, and assist with VC deal flow – together with the core team and working students.</li> <li>Automate: Build AI-native workflows with the newest GenAI tools that enables us to unlock new value.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Highly organized, proactive, and ready for responsibility.</li> <li>Strong analytical and communication skills, team player.</li> <li>Willingness to create new AI-native processes.</li> <li>Experience in fast-paced environments (startups, VC, consulting).</li> <li>Final-year Bachelor's, Master's student, or on a gap year, in an analytical field.</li> <li>Fluency in German and English</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can shape your experience.</li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset and opportunities for personal growth.
