Our goal is to turn advances in AI into reliable software that makes a measurable difference in everyday cancer care.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p><strong>The role</strong></p> <p>As VP Engineering, you will build and lead the engineering organisation behind our AI platform. Your mandate is clear: turn product requirements and validated AI concepts into reliable, scalable and maintainable software. You will own engineering delivery, architecture, technical quality and engineering culture while remaining hands-on where it matters.</p> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build and lead the engineering organisation.</li> <li>Own engineering delivery from architecture through production.</li> <li>Turn product requirements into pragmatic technical designs and execution plans.</li> <li>Raise the bar for quality, reliability, security and engineering excellence.</li> <li>Stay hands-on through architecture, critical implementation and technical leadership.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p><strong>What you'll bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience building and leading engineering teams in a fast-moving product company.</li> <li>A track record of taking products from prototype to production while scaling engineering teams, processes and technical foundations from early-stage through growth.</li> <li>Strong engineering judgement across modern Python-based backend systems, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and AI-enabled products.</li> <li>Experience building and operating LLM or agentic systems in production, including evaluation, guardrails and failure handling.</li> <li>You use modern AI coding tools as a core part of your engineering workflow and can effectively review and quality-control AI-generated code.</li> <li>Evidence of making fast, high-quality decisions under ambiguity, including deciding what not to build.</li> <li>Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, FHIR, regulated or safety-critical software, or enterprise software deployments is a strong advantage, but not required.</li> <li>Excellent written and spoken English.
