Senior / Staff Product Designer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're a well-funded (Series A), fast-growing AI procurement intelligence company based in <strong>Munich, Germany</strong>, building software that helps industrial companies optimize purchasing and supply chain operations. Our product is used daily by non-technical procurement professionals, and AI agents sit at the core of what we do.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We're looking for a <strong>Senior or Staff Product Designer</strong> to define how agentic AI capabilities surface in our product — making AI feel natural, trustworthy, and genuinely useful for people who aren't data scientists or engineers. You'll join a small, senior design team working closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts in a product that directly impacts real cost savings for customers.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is an <strong>on-site role in Munich</strong>. Visa sponsorship is not available.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define how agentic AI capabilities present in the product — from communicating "the agent is working" through to "here's what it found."</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design interaction patterns where AI and human judgment collaborate rather than compete, with a focus on trust and transparency.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Produce short-horizon vision work (3–6 month outlook) as prototypes and tangible artifacts that guide engineering and product teams.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Raise overall product craft and coherence as engineering velocity and feature output scale.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work directly in code for last-mile polish — check out PRs and tweak interactions before features ship.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate across product management, engineering, and procurement domain experts to translate complex workflows into usable experiences.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency at scale.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Conduct user research and usability testing with non-technical procurement professionals to continuously sharpen product decisions.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Senior-level product designer with a strong portfolio of <em>shipped</em> product work — ideally in B2B SaaS, complex workflows, or data-heavy products.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Broad ("block-shaped") skill set spanning visual design, interaction design, product thinking, and prototyping in code — not a single-specialty T-shape.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Practical experience prototyping beyond Figma — able to build runnable prototypes that clearly communicate intent and behavior.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with related tools (FigJam, Sketch, InVision, or similar).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience defining and maintaining design systems and component libraries.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform product decisions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, data science) in a fast-paced environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Thoughtful, well-formed opinions about how AI should appear in products — with emphasis on trust, transparency, and appropriate levels of automation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Regular user of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) as part of your research, ideation, and prototyping workflow.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable operating with ambiguity and inventing new interaction patterns for genuinely novel problems.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience designing for non-technical users in complex B2B domains (e.g., procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, ERP-adjacent).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prior work designing agentic or autonomous AI features in a shipped product.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background at enterprise software companies (e.g., SAP, Celonis, or similar process-intelligence platforms).</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is based <strong>on-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany</strong>.
