Aerospace Engineer - Working Student Luft

<p><strong>We are hiring!</strong></p> <p>Bifrost Defence is looking for a Working Student in Aerospace Engineering for our product company Luft.</p> <p><strong>About Luft</strong></p> <p>Luft builds tethered and free-flying aerostat and kite platforms, plus a powered airship, with in-house ground stations, for persistent, low-cost aerial overwatch. Based in Munich, Germany, with field testing in Ukraine. Luft is one of Bifrost Defence's product companies, currently in flight-test prep.</p> <p><strong>The role</strong></p> <p>You develop and simulate aerostats and balloons in real-world scenarios, then iterate them into the next version. We agree on your focus together, based on your background, with clear ownership, a clear result, and a clear deadline. Twenty hours a week, arranged around your timetable, working directly with the technical lead.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Support design, build, and testing of aerostat, kite, and airship platforms</li> <li>Run simulations and analyze test data to inform the next design iteration</li> <li>Work with suppliers and vendors on component specs and integration</li> <li>Document test results and technical findings for the engineering team</li> <li>Help prepare hardware and logistics for field tests in Germany and Ukraine</li> <li>You own project outcomes from start to finish and drive your own initiatives</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>You are studying aerospace engineering, aeronautics, or something similar, and are in the later stages of your studies</li> <li>Proficiency in Python or C++</li> <li>Previous experience with Zeppelins or aerostats is a plus</li> <li>Fluent in English; German strongly preferred</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>Hands-on work on hardware that's actually flying, not a simulation exercise</li> <li>Direct line to the technical lead, your ideas get tested, not filed</li> <li>Real flight-test exposure in Germany and Ukraine</li> <li>A small team where your work moves the platform forward, fast</li> </ul> <p>We are looking forward to your application!</p> <p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
