<p><strong>Fire, Health &amp; Safety Consultant - Contractor/Associate</strong></p> <p>Ark Workplace Risk | Competitive Day Rate</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>At Ark Workplace Risk, we empower our clients to confidently manage risk, compliance, and safety through a trusted partnership built on expert knowledge, innovative solutions, and proactive guidance and insight.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About Ark Workplace Risk:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Proven Expert Knowledge: With over 30 years of experience and a trusted reputation among 200+ UK organisations, we provide workable solutions that align with our clients' organisational and business goals, as well as regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Industry-Leading Software: Our innovative tools streamline risk and compliance management, putting clients in control and enabling them to demonstrate accountability to stakeholders.</p> <p>Insight-Driven Solutions: As industry thought leaders, we provide actionable insights into emerging legislation, guidance, and industry trends, ensuring court-readiness for their business.</p> <p>Responsive Partnership: From every day, business-as-usual guidance to urgent, critical, complex, and contentious scenarios, we work in partnership with clients, becoming their trusted advisor and solution provider, whenever and wherever they need us most.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Undertake risk assessments including fire and health and safety, ensuring the fee earning target is met.&nbsp;</li> <li>Undertake various fire, health and safety assignments within your competency.</li> <li>Deliver client reports within the agreed SLA, in accordance with a forensic and pragmatic approach to ensure the Ark 'Gold Standard' is achieved.&nbsp;</li> <li>Design health and safety site management systems where required, specific to client requirements.</li> <li>Undertake onsite briefings and advise on risk management improvements.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Work with other consultants to ensure we are constantly sharing knowledge across the team.</li> <li>Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of controlling risks, compliances etc. in relation to our online management system QUOODA®</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>The ideal candidate will have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 3+ years' fire, health &amp; safety risk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and/or commercial buildings</li> <li>Good working knowledge of Approved Document B</li> <li>Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997</li> <li>Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire and Health &amp; Safety risk assessments on seven or more floors</li> <li>The ability to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments at the same time</li> <li>Articulate and clear communicators and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have NEBOSH General Certificate in Health &amp; Safety or equivalent as minimum.</li> <li>Must have a minimum of a level 3 in Fire Safety/Fire Risk&nbsp;</li> <li>Recognised fire safety memberships e.g. AIFireE, MIFireE, GIFireE, MIFSM etc.</li> <li>Willing to apply for or have registered on any of the following fire risk assessors registers IFSM, FRACS, IFPO or IFE</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Practical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Ability to facilitate hybrid working with home office that is suitable for connectivity to the office and clients, a safe and productive place to work conducive for delivering daily duties.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
