This position supports the <strong>continuous evolution of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework</strong>, ensuring that potential threats to our strategic objectives, operations, finances, and reputation are<strong> proactively managed</strong>. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a <strong>keen eye for detail</strong>, and the ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. Some key components of the role are as follows</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the <strong>identification of potential risks</strong> (e.g., operational, financial, strategic, compliance, technological, reputational, environmental) across all business units and functions..</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assist in <strong>conducting comprehensive risk assessment</strong>s, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Facilitate<strong> risk workshops and discussions </strong>with various departments to gather risk intelligence</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Leverage <strong>automation and AI</strong> to <strong>enhance efficiency</strong> and <strong>reduce risk</strong> where applicable.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role demands a knack for collaborating with <strong>all levels of stakeholders</strong>, rapidly grasping <strong>new business domains</strong>, and forging <strong>balanced solutions</strong> that foster <strong>growth within defined risk parameters</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Your team’s objectives</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Embed and maintain the Risk Management Framework to establish a clear, consistent, and <strong>comprehensive approach to risk management across the enterprise.</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">To <strong>collaborate with business functions</strong> with the objective to effectively manage the firm's risks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">To provide <strong>independent review</strong> and challenge where necessary to mitigate the chance of the firm not meeting its overall obligations</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><br /></p><h2>What you’ll be doing/impact on objectives</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support the successful deployment and ongoing use of a <strong>new Risk Management System</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with business units to ensure <strong>timely completion and review of risk assessments</strong></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and communicate <strong>regular KRI reports</strong>, collaborating with <strong>business SMEs</strong> to provide insightful commentary that enhances risk understanding</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate with business units to ensure the <strong>timely completion of actions originating from the Enterprise Risk Function</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Assess </strong>and <strong>validate </strong>the effectiveness of established controls</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Provide oversight of the <strong>risk event and risk acceptance processes</strong>, delivering <strong>insightful analysis</strong> to the business.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assist with the end-to-end <strong>risk event process</strong>, including reviewing, escalation, and resolution of risk events to drive continuous improvement.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>What we’re looking for</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven experience in the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of<strong> industry best practices relating to Risk or Second Line activities</strong></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Educated to degree level or holding a relevant compliance qualification</strong></p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Possesses <strong>a strong work ethic,</strong> sound judgment, and the ability to make well-informed decisions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Exceptional communication skills</strong>, both written and verbal.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comprehensive knowledge or<strong> willingness to learn</strong> about regulations and development embedding of an enterprise risk framework</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>The interview process</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re not a corporation so we try our best to get things moving as quickly as possible.
