Head of Engineering

<br><strong>Your mission</strong><p><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to take full ownership of our technology and lead a small, senior engineering team. You set the technical direction, keep the quality bar high, and make sure we keep shipping, as a close sparring partner to our founders and product leadership. You lead the team day to day and still roll up your sleeves when a problem needs your hands on it.</span><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br></span><span style="font-size:15px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br><strong><span style="font-size:15px;">Your responsibilities</span></strong><br></span><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Lead a small, highly experienced engineering team (5 people): set clear priorities, delegate real ownership, and keep people growing through 1:1s, code-review guidance, and technical sparring.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Own engineering quality: reliable standards, architectural reviews, production readiness, and the final gate before release.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Act as technical sparring partner for founders, product, and design, and drive delivery end-to-end: from solution design to production, in short cycles, including advancing our SaaS onboarding.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Oversee the architecture across distributed systems, APIs, desktop applications, our AWS infrastructure and internal DevOps platform, and a multi-repository codebase with solid infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability behind it.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Own security and compliance in practice: ISO continuity, least-privilege access, secrets management, PKI, and supply-chain security, including recurring audits and technical due diligence.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Push our production AI support agent further: more automated ticket resolution, production-grade RAG, tool calling, evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring.</span></li></ul></p><br><strong>Your profile</strong><p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;"><strong>10+ years</strong> in software engineering, with proven experience <strong>leading and developing</strong> a small, senior team.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">You’ve grown up in <strong>early-stage startups</strong> (seed to Series B) and know that stage, a purely corporate or enterprise background wouldn’t be the right fit here.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Deep expertise in <strong>TypeScript, Node.js, and React</strong>, solid with <strong>Python and PostgreSQL</strong>, and confident across <strong>APIs,</strong> distributed systems, production debugging, and multi-repo setups.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Advanced <strong>AWS knowledge</strong> and real ownership of cloud-native production: infrastructure as code, <strong>GitOps</strong>, <strong>CI/CD</strong>, observability, plus a practical security mindset and calm judgement during incidents.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;">Production experience with <strong>AI agents: </strong><strong>RAG</strong>, tool calling, workflow automation, evaluations, guardrails, monitoring, approached as <strong>software engineering</strong>, not model training or ML research.</span></li><li style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:15px;"><strong>Product-minded and pragmatic:</strong> business-focused judgement, no overengineering, and a high shipping cadence.
