Internship - Radiation Testing of Electronic Components and Test Automation

<p style="min-height:1.5em">Here at The Exploration Company, we are building innovative aerospace technologies that advance the future of space transportation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We want you as a talented Radiation Test and Automation Engineer to help us in our mission by participating in the qualification of the electronic parts that will compose our Nyx Avionics system.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">In your capacity as a Radiation Test and Automation Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assembly of radiation test PCBs for components to be tested</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Test of the assembled PCBs and debugging of circuits in the laboratory</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Soldering and adapting of parts if needed</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Automation of radiation test setups and test report generation</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Attending the radiation test campaign at the particle accelerator facility, if required</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Understanding the effects of radiation to electronic circuits and create comprehensive test reports</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><h2>What we would love to see from you</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">In the role of Radiation Test and Automation Engineer ideally, you have collected some experience with the following:</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A masters/bachelor's degree in electronic science or engineering / Physics / embedded systems design</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on soldering and debugging experience of electronics circuits</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Basic knowledge of verification and validation of avionics and embedded software</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with Python for test automation and control of devices and data visualization</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Digital and Analog Electronic Design Knowledge</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with Altium Designer and LTSPICE or comparable software solutions is a plus</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Basic understanding of space avionics is a plus</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Why you should join us!</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">What makes us special here at The Exploration Company and why we think you will enjoy working here is:  </p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re Agile - we make decisions fast whilst keeping our goals and systems in mind </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re Open and Collaborative - we are transparent about risks and obstacles, so that we can cooperate to overcome them  </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">We have a lot of Fun - we refuel our energy knowing we are democratising space.
