Senior Enterprise Architect (Associate, Contract)

<p>Intelance works with UK organisations that need clear, practical decisions about technology. We are building a trusted group of senior associates to lead short enterprise architecture engagements. This project based contract role is for someone who can understand how decisions are made, find where ownership or information is unclear, and give senior leaders a plan they can use.</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead current state enterprise architecture reviews from the first interview to the executive readout.</li> <li>Interview senior business and technology leaders, then explain the findings in plain English.</li> <li>Map how decisions are made across applications, data, integration, security, operations and change.</li> <li>Test early findings against real decisions, documents and other evidence.</li> <li>Identify unclear ownership, duplicated effort, avoidable risk and important dependencies.</li> <li>Design practical options, clear decision rights and a costed roadmap.</li> <li>Produce board ready reports, diagrams and presentations.</li> <li>Work with Intelance associates while owning the quality of the work and the client relationship.</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <p>You must have:</p> <ul> <li>At least 10 years of enterprise architecture, business architecture or technology governance experience.</li> <li>Personally led a current state assessment from discovery through to an executive readout.</li> <li>Experience interviewing and presenting to Board, COO, CIO or equivalent leaders.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of applications, data, integration, security, operating models and technology governance.</li> <li>Recent work in a law firm, professional services partnership, financial services firm or another regulated organisation.</li> <li>Evidence that you can turn complex findings into clear written advice and practical decisions.</li> <li>The confidence to challenge senior people calmly and work without depending on a large consulting team.</li> <li>The right to work and contract in the UK without sponsorship.</li> <li>Availability for remote work and occasional travel to London or other UK client sites.</li> <li>The ability to meet Intelance checks for conflicts, references, confidentiality, information security and insurance.</li> </ul> <p>TOGAF or a similar qualification is useful, but clear evidence of delivery matters more.</p> <h2>Benefits</h2> <ul> <li>£700 to £850 per day, excluding VAT, based on experience and the scope of each assignment.</li> <li>Project based associate contract with no guaranteed minimum number of days.</li> <li>Initial assignments are usually 10 to 20 days delivered over three to six weeks.</li> <li>Mostly remote work with planned UK client travel when needed.</li> <li>Direct access to the senior people making the decisions.</li> <li>Further work may follow across enterprise architecture, AI governance, data and security.</li> </ul> <p>Apply if you can lead the work yourself and produce clear outputs for senior leaders.
