Senior M365 Expert - Teams Governance / Modern Workplace (Nearshore preferred)

<p>For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced <strong>Senior M365 Expert / Modern Workplace Specialist (m/f/d)</strong> to support the ongoing Microsoft 365 operations as well as broader governance, data protection and cybersecurity topics.</p> <p>The role is planned as an external full-time assignment and will be closely integrated into an international IT team.</p> <p><strong>Start:</strong> 01 July 2026<br> <strong>Duration:</strong> 3–6 months, with option to extend<br> <strong>Workload:</strong> Full-time<br> <strong>Location:</strong> Remote<br> <strong>Language:</strong> English is mandatory, German is highly preferred, Romanian language skills or proximity to Timișoara would be a plus, but are not mandatory<br> <strong>Contract type:</strong> Freelance / external project assignment</p> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Take ownership of operational support around <strong>Microsoft 365</strong>, especially <strong>Teams, Planner, Loop, OneNote and Whiteboard</strong></li> <li>Support and further develop <strong>M365 governance</strong>, with a strong focus on Microsoft TeamsCoordinate and support <strong>data protection and cybersecurity assessments</strong> in the M365 context</li> <li>Review new Microsoft features and coordinate required alignments with data protection, cybersecurity and other supporting functions</li> <li>Manage an external partner responsible for <strong>Teams incident management</strong></li> <li>Support the coordination of the <strong>Microsoft Unified Support contract</strong></li> <li>Participate in the agile IT setup, including PI planning, sprint activities and maintaining stories and features</li> <li>Support related topics such as Copilot, Copilot Chat, Clipchamp evaluation and M365 integrations</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Strong experience in the <strong>Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace environment</strong></li> <li>Solid knowledge of <strong>Microsoft Teams governance</strong></li> <li>Hands-on experience with tools such as <strong>Teams, Planner, Loop, OneNote and Whiteboard</strong></li> <li>Experience with Clipchamp or Copilot is a plusGood understanding of <strong>data protection, cybersecurity and IT governance</strong></li> <li>Experience in managing external service providers or partners</li> <li>Confident communication with IT, data protection, cybersecurity, business stakeholders and management</li> <li>Experience working in agile IT environments, e.g. Scrum, sprint planning or PI planningStructured, proactive and reliable working style</li> </ul> <p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
