There is a strong focus on providing a personal and reassuring client experience from first contact through to discharge. Excellent clinical care delivered in a friendly and supportive manner to referring vets is paramount to the team. The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and offers the most advanced treatment options for orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, and internal medicine cases. We have a dedicated Imaging suite, which includes a 16-slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, fluoroscopy, and separate radiography and ultrasound rooms.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Our core ethos here at HSR is based on the appreciation of our staff. We have a dedicated team of Specialists, Referral clinicians, RVNs and Support teams.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <h2>How You’ll Make a Difference</h2> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p>As a Senior Orthopaedic Veterinary Nurse, you will set the standard for excellence within the Orthopaedic Nursing Department, promoting high-quality patient care and clinical best practice.</p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p>You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to support excellent patient and client care. You'll also act as a source of guidance for the nursing team and contribute to maintaining and improving clinical standards, workflows and patient outcomes.</p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p><strong>Working Pattern</strong></p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>* 40 hours per week</div> <div>* 4 days per week working 9.25-hour shifts plus a 30-minute unpaid break</div> <div>* 1:6 weekends working 2 x 9-hour shifts plus an unpaid 30-minute break</div> <div>* Bank holiday cover on a rota (normally 2 shifts a year)</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p><strong>General Responsibilities</strong></p> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>* Coordinate with the workflow coordinator across procedure areas, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal patient flow</div> <div>* Lead by example, maintaining high standards of nursing care and operational efficiency</div> <div>* Support the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) in the day-to-day leadership and organisation of the nursing team</div> <div>* Mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs and fostering a positive learning culture</div> <div>* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department to enhance patient care, team performance, and operational effectiveness</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <h2>You Might Be a Great Fit If...</h2> <div>&nbsp;</div> <p>You are an experienced and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys supporting others and leading by example.
