<p>As <strong>Strategic Business Development Manager – Port Solutions</strong>, you develop and grow OceanScore’s relationships within the global port ecosystem. You identify and advance strategic opportunities, shape port-specific solutions together with product and data teams, and act as a trusted advisor to port authorities on how to leverage emissions data for environmental transparency, incentive design, and regulatory alignment.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role combining strategic thinking with active commercial development; building relationships, shaping opportunities, and contributing directly to OceanScore’s growth in the port segment.</p> <p><strong>Please note that this is an on-site position in our Hamburg Office.</strong></p> <h2><strong>Your Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Stakeholder Networking</strong>: You build and maintain a relevant network across the global port ecosystem, positioning OceanScore as a trusted partner for emissions intelligence and environmental transparency while strengthening our visibility in the market.</li> <li><strong>Commercial Development</strong>: You identify, structure, and advance high-value partnership opportunities with ports worldwide, building a robust pipeline of strategic collaborations and commercial engagements.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Product Development</strong>: Working closely with our Product and Data teams, you translate port needs into further product developments for our port solutions and incentive schemes.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Partnership Development</strong>: You support port authorities and industry stakeholders in understanding how vessel emissions data can inform environmental policies, differentiated port dues, incentive schemes, and reporting frameworks, acting as a trusted discussion partner in strategic conversations.</li> <li><strong>Scheme Expansion</strong>: You evaluate how existing port incentive schemes could be integrated into the broader OceanScore environment, coordinate stakeholder discussions and negotiations together with leadership as well as manage the operational follow-through of potential integrations.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What you bring:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>You bring strong experience in <strong>maritime, port governance, maritime sustainability, or maritime strategy</strong>, combined with a strong track record in <strong>strategic partnerships, business development, or ecosystem development</strong>.</li> <li>You have a solid understanding of <strong>environmental and regulatory pressures facing ports</strong>, including maritime emissions frameworks and port climate objectives.</li> <li>You are familiar with <strong>port incentive mechanisms</strong>, including differentiated port dues and initiatives such as the Environmental Ship Index (ESI).</li> <li>You are experienced in engaging with <strong>senior stakeholders in the port or maritime sector</strong> and building trust-based relationships.</li> <li>An established <strong>network within the port community</strong> (e.g. through IAPH or similar organisations) is highly valuable.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>How you work</strong></h2> <ul> <li>You think in systems and understand how regulation, governance, incentives, and data interact within the port ecosystem.</li> <li>You combine strategic commercial thinking with a hands-on approach, comfortable moving from high-level discussions to concrete partnership development.</li> <li>You are entrepreneurial and self-driven, able to identify opportunities and move them forward independently.</li> <li>You build long-term, trust-based partnerships rather than transactional relationships.</li> <li>You collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that market insights inform product development and positioning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Not 100% qualified?
